FIFL Experience: Named to the 1999, 2001
and 2002 American Conference All-Pro team. Named Defensive
MVP in 2002. In seven career playoff games, Coger has 15 tackles
and 6.0 sacks with one fumble recovery.
Professional Experience: Saw
limited action his first season with the Albany Firebirds
(AFL) in 1996... Played for the New York City Hawks in 1997
where he ran for 61 yards and scored 9 touchdowns... also
added 12 tackles (7 UT, 5 AT) and 2.0 sacks. Played in one
game with the Steel Valley Smash (IFL) in 1999 where he had
4 tackles (3 UT, 1 AT) and a sack. Playing for Steel Valley
in 2000, Coger lead the IFL with 10.5 sacks while adding 27
tackles (15 UT, 12 AT) and a fumble recovery.
College: Twelve
career sacks as an outside linebacker for the Yellowjackets
placed him seventh on the all-time list... Recorded career-high
12 tackles in 1993 Baylor game... saw action in all 11 games
as a freshman in 1992... began college career at Potomac State
College and was naed Junior College First Team All-American.
Personal: Nickname
is "Freddie"... born and raised in the Pittsburgh,
PA area... works at a day-care center in the off season...
