FIFL Experience: 2nd all-time in receiving
yardage, 2nd all-time single-season leader
in receptions in a season (117 in 2006). 1st in receptions
in a game (18 in 2006, week 4). Named to 6 American Conference
All-Pro Teams. Named Offensive Player of the Game 7 times
in his career.
Professional Experience: First-team
All-AFL and AFL Offensive MVP in 1998 as member of the Arizona
Rattlers…Established league records with 136 receptions, 1,982
receiving yards and 44 TD catches…His yardage total remains
a league season record…Arizona's career leader in TD receptions
with 158 and ranks second all-time with 523 receptions and
7,498 receiving yards…Signed as a free agent on November 13,
2003. Schexnayder signed and played with the San Francisco
Demons (XFL) in 2001...took time off to pursue carrer in baseball.
College Experience: Played two seasons
as wide receiver at Washington State University…Transferred
from Fresno City College where he also ran track…Working towards
a degree in Social Work from WSU.
Personal: Born
Calvin Paul Schexnayder on November 19, 1969 in Fresno, Calif.…Lettered
in football, basketball and track at Bullard High School in
Fresno…Is actively involved in charity work in the Phoenix
area working with organizations such as Arizona Special Olympics,
American Heart Association, Boys and Girls Club, Salvation
Army, YWCA, Gompers Center for Handicapped, Foundation for
Blind Children, Foundation for Burn and Trauma…Has been involved
with the Arizona Department of Health's Abstinence Programs…Along
with former Rattlers teammate Sherdrick Bonner and Every Kid
Counts Charity President & Co-Founder R.J. Perelka, started
a charity flag football game to benefit families of police
officers slain in active duty…He and wife LaRosa have three
children, daughter, Bria and sons, Isaiah and Jeremiah…The
family resides in Phoenix.
