FIFL Experience: Named to the American
Conference All-Pro team in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002. Third
all-time in rushing yardage with 10,928 and second all time
with 110 rushing touchdowns. Third all-time in all purpose
yardage with 17,842.
Professional Experience: Played for
the Lincoln Lightning (IFL) in 1999 where he ran for a league
record 963 yards and 34 touchdowns on 217 carries (4.4 average).
Had an injury shortened year in 2000 with Lincoln where he
ran for 187 yards and 4 touchdowns on 45 carries (4.2 average).
Played for the Lincoln Lightning af2 club in 2001 where he
played FB/LB. Caught 63 passes for 721 yards while rushing
for 139 yards... finished the year with 18 touchdowns. Finished
his career with the Lincoln Capitols (NIFL) club in 2001 where
he ran for 118 yards and 10 touchdowns while hauling in 57
passes for 484 yards and 8 touchdowns. In his 4-year Indoor
career, Benning ran for 1,407 yards and 55 touchdowns while
catching 152 passes for 1,447 yards and 25 touchdowns.
College: Benning played on national champion
Husker teams in 1994 and 1995.
Personal: Currently
works for the Omaha Beef (NIFL) franchise.
