FIFL Experience: All-time leading scorer
in FIFL history. Passed Brion Hurley with an 8 point game
in week 11 of 2020. Named to the 2008 National Conference
All-Pro Team. Hit a career best 91.3% of field goals in 2009.
Named Offensive Player of the Game 3 times in his career (2007.06,
2008.14 and 2009.11). Had a career best 18 points (6/6 FG's)
week 6 of the 2007 season.
Professional Experience: 12th round
draft pick (315th overall) by the San Diego Chargers, but
released prior to season opener... Went to training camp with
the Houston Oilers in 1993... Drafted in the first round (12th
pick) by the Baltimore Stallions in the Las Vegas Posse (CFL)
dispersal draft in April, 1995... Runner up to LB Matt Goodwin
for the CFL's Most Outstanding Rookie award... hit 38 of 46
field goals, best percentage in the league... hit eight field
goals of 50 or more yards... Played in the AFL from 1998-2001...
had a record 93.9 percentage on 88 of 90 extra points in 1999.
College Experience: Connected on 73
of 91 field goals, 178 of 181 extra points during his 4-year
career. All-time leading scorer at the University of Miami
with 406 career points... arrived as a walk-on and left as
a consensus All-American and holder of 12 Hurricaine records
including: career points, consecutive extra points (157),
career field goals (75), career converts (181), and consecitive
field goals (11)... scored team record 107 points as a freshman
in 1988 for a National Championship team, scored 101 points
in both 1989 and 1990... first-team All American by AP, Kodak,
Walter Camp and teh Sporting News in 1991 when he scored a
career low 97 points for the National Champions... Has three
National Championship rings if including his red-shirt season
in 1987.
Personal: Earned his degree in business
(3.15 GPA)... was Miami's Iron Arrow recipient, the most prestigious
award given by the University... last name pronounced 'Where-Ta'.
Attended Christopher Columbus High School.
