FIFL Experience: Held the record for
most points in FIFL history with 1600 points up until week
11 of the 2020 season when Carlos Huerta broke the record.
Awarded Offensive Player of the Game in week 13 of 2004. Holds
the record for most field goals made and attempted in a game,
as he was 7/8 in week 6 of 2005... also holds the record for
most points in a game with 21. Holds record for highest FG
percentage with his 92.6% in 2007.
Professional Experience: In 2000, Brion
prospered in his first year as a kicker for the Quad City
Steamwheelers. Brion hit on 81.8 percent of his PAT's (121-148)
and 31.7 percent of his fielg-goals(12-31) and led all kickers
in scoring with 158 points. In a game at Tennessee Valley
he booted two field-goals and hit on all eight of extra points.
Other PRO Experience: In 1998, Brion played six games for
the Iowa Barnstormers, where he tied the Barnstormer record
with a 55-yard field goal and kicked the game winning FG in
a 44-41 win over San Jose. Prior to that, Brion had the opportunity
of experiencing the New York Giants' Training Camp as a Placekicker
(1997) and returning in 1999 as a Punter.
College: His college career began as
a Walk-On at the University of Iowa where he red-shirted in
the fall of 1992. In 1993, he earned a scholarship and was
a four-year starter and four-year letter winner for the Hawkeys(1993-1996).He
was awarded the Sun Bowl Special Teams MVP (1995) with three
FG's (47, 49, 50). While also awarded the AT&T Long Distance
Award vs. Iowa State with a 54-yard FG. His career is 6 for
9 on field-goals over 50 yards.
