FIFL Experience: Had many productive
seasons for Honolulu and Wichita as he has thrown for over
40,000 yards and over 200 touchdowns in his career. McDonagh
was named to the 1999 National Conference All-Pro Team and
is ranked 3rd all-time in yards, 2nd in touchdowns, and 8th
in QB rating. As a starter, McDonagh is 75-62 (54.7%), and
has lead his team to 4 National Conference Championship Games.
Has been named Offensive Player of the Game 13 times in his
career. Traded to Wichita for LB Matt Hughes in week 4 of
the 2005 season. Traded to Mississppi in week 7 of the 2011
season for a 5th round pick. Spent 2012 season with Honolulu
throwing 15 of 19 passes for 167 yards and a TD.
Professional Experience: Played 15 games
with the Quad City Steamwheelers in 2001 finishing with a
rating of 131.9. Had 303 completions of 424 attempts and 7
interceptions, 73 touchdowns. He averaged 254.8 passing yards
per game, with his longest pass of 45 yards. Led the team
in their second championship in the Arena Cup...2000: Was
an All-League performer with Madison of the Indoor Football
League (IFL). Led his team to an 11-6 record. In defeat of
the Billings Thunder Bolts, finished the game with 18 of 37
passes for 172 yards and 5 touchdowns. Brought victory against
the Minnesota Purple Rage with15 completes of 23 passes for
4 touchdowns and 199 yards... In 1999 McDonagh was a backup
with the Buffalo Destroyers of the Arena Football League (AFL).
Prior to that, he spent 1998 with the Green Bay Bombers (IFL)
where he was recognized as the Offensive MVP of the league.
In 1997, he ventured to Italy where he quarterbacked the Bologna
Phoenix to the Italian National Championships. He was also
voted as league and team MVP.
College: Attended Western Michigan University
in Kallamazoo, MI from 1991-1996 and earned a degree in education.
He was a three-time Team MVP and a three-time All-Conference
selection.
