PROFILE:

FIFL Experience: Mike Perez was drafted in the 3rd round (43rd overall) in the 2003 FIFL draft by the Fort Wayne Safari. Fort Wayne dropped Perez in week seven of the 2003 season and picked up QB Richard Fuentes. Honolulu made a number of moves that week, one of which was dropping QB John Hegben in favor of Perz. Perez owns a career record of 92-74-1 (55.4%) a a starter. Owns a 5-5 record in the playoffs, including 0-2 in Gold Cups. Perez is the all-time leader in completion percentage (68.9%), and holds an amazing record for the most consecutive seasons of throwin 70% or more (2011-2014).

Professional Experience: 1988 seventh-round selection by New York Giants ...Waived before start of Giants' 1989 season ... Was in Houston Oilers' camp for the 1990 season before returning to the Giants in 1991 ... Competed for backup QB position throughout 1991 Giants camp before being cut in final roster moves ... Was picked up for 13 regular-season games by the 1991 Kansas City Chiefs before moving to Giants as Phil Simms' back-up for final two games of 1991 campaign. Played two seasons (1991-92) for Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europe ... Best season was 1991 as he completed nearly 50% of his passes for 2,272 yards and 13 touchdowns.

College: All-American Division 1-A career at San Jose State ..Received votes in 1987 Heisman balloting ... During junior and senior years, was ranked first and second, respectively, in total offense (combined 6,194 yards over two seasons) ... Named UPIs 1996 West Coast Player of the Year Selected to play in three post-season senior games, East-West Shrine,Blue-Gray and Japan Bowl Began college career at Taft Junior College... from 1986-1987, completed 471 of 792 oasses for 6,194 yards with 36 touchdowns and 30 interceptions.
